Toll Stadium is a multipurpose event facility. The event centre provides opportunities for the Northland region to have a quality, well planned and fully equipped venue for major sporting, entertainment, cultural and family events.
The venue has a capacity of 18,500. Toll Stadium has hosted a range of local, national and international sporting events since opening in June 2010 including two Rugby World Cup 2011 matches, NZ Women’s Football Internationals, NZ Women’s League International, Super 15 Blues preseason games and NRL Pre-season Warriors Games. Toll Stadium is home of the Northland Taniwha who play in the ITM Cup Competition and North Force Football.
The sports surface is a transitional field, a composition of couch over the summer months and perennial rye grass which is under sown for the winter months.
